What is the Address of the Bus Station/Stop?
With the search results from CheckMyBus, you can easily check the exact address of the station or stop. You can check this for both the origin as well as your destination. Each result displays information about the departure and arrival stations. In addition, you can check out which amenities the bus provider offers. If you’re not sure if you’ve entered the right information or want to double check, don’t worry! All coach companies show a summary your purchase before you pay. Naturally, the addresses of the stops also appear on the bus ticket.
An Important Note: Remember that CheckMyBus is a search engine, not a bus company, so it is not possible to book or buy tickets directly on our website.
What to Do if the Coach Leaves or Arrives Late?
Generally, bus companies do not respond to delays they’re not directly responsible for. This includes fortuitous events and delays due to legal or administrative requirements.
In case the cause of the delay is attributable, passengers must make a formal claim to demand the corresponding compensation for damages caused. Following this, the passenger must demonstrate the damage and/or economic repercussions by presenting all the invoices and pertinent receipts that prove this.
If there’s a breakdown during the trip, the bus company must find and pay for the alternative means necessary to take passengers to their final destination as quickly as possible. For any lodging or maintenance costs, the company must take care of this.
Some bus companies, such as Greyhound, offer a bus tracker that allow you to search for a bus based on its schedule number and date or arrival and departure cities.
How Much Time in Advance is Necessary to Take the Bus?
Naturally, there are several factors that affect the amount of time needed to arrive at the bus stop. For domestic trips, with the ticket already printed and without special luggage, it is usually enough to be roughly 10-15 minutes early. However, when it comes to international routes, it’s a good idea to arrive at the station at least 30 minutes before the bus leaves.

Do you travel with your bicycle, with a baby carriage or do you have special needs when travelling? Companies recommend arriving at least 30 minutes ahead of time to avoid possible unforeseen events, regardless of whether it is a national or international trip.
Our recommendation: it is always better to arrive relaxed and with time to spare than to arrive running or even miss the bus for arriving too late.
What Do I Do if I’ve Missed the Bus?
If you miss the bus for reasons beyond the company’s control, each company has its own regulations. Therefore conditions for modifying and cancellation may differ. In the case of National Express, you cannot amend your ticket after your scheduled coach departs. You can however amend your ticket online for £5.00 (£6.00 if done via telephone) prior to your coach’s departure. Similarly, you can also opt for the Fully Flexible Fare. This allows you to make unlimited number of amendments prior to your departure time without an added fee.
Can Unaccompanied Minors Travel by Bus?
In most cases, children who are 14 or older will be able to travel on their own. This depends on if they have authorization from a parent or legal guardian. Both megabus and National Express require passengers who are under 14 to be accompanied by someone who is at least 16. Passengers between 15 and 17 may only travel without an adult if they have written permission from a legal guardian.

Dear James,
Thank you for your message. Typically, if you have booked your intercity bus from Dresden to Prague Airport, and there is a break in the city before you reach the airport, you must board the connecting bus as specified on your ticket. If you want to be more flexible with your time, we’d suggest booking two tickets, with the first being from Dresden to the city of Prague, and the second being from Prague Central Station to Prague Airport. The latter of these can likely be obtained via local transport as well. This way, you are ensuring yourself a certain amount of time in the city of Prague before you have to catch your next bus to the airport.
As for storing your luggage, the city of Prague does offer storage for five euros per day at the Hlavani Station as well as the Old Town Square. If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch with us again.

We have a friend travelling from London next Monday the 28th May. She’s planning to try for the 9.10 Inverness to Ullapool but apparently its a bank holiday (in England). Please can you tell me whether that bus will run normally or is there a special timetable?
CheckMyBus-Support
Dear Cathie,
Thank you for your message. Bank holiday timetables do tend to vary from service and region. If the timetable is posted on the provider’s site, she should be able to still make the bus. If this is not the case then typically the bus’s regular Sunday timetables will take effect, and if you’re unsure, we suggest directly contact the city bus provider to make sure the buses are still running.

Hi there,
I’ve just bought a ticket for a day that isn’T the right one for me, by mistake. How can I amend the ticket? The one I need is the same price, the same time, but a week earlier.
Many thanks

Dear Sara,
Thank you for your message. Please note that CheckMyBus is an intercity coach search engine, and we do not sell tickets directly. Once you have clicked on the “View Deal” button on our website, you were redirected to the website of the bus provider, where you purchased the ticket. For any further information on how to change your ticket you must contact the bus provider you booked your ticket from.

I will be traveling with my disabled mother she has a walking frame but cannot manage steps. Are there other means of boarding the bus for disabled travellers.? Thank you
CheckMyBus-Support
Dear Alison,
Most buses are very accessible to disabled travellers. In fact, many providers, such as National Express, offer discounts for passengers with disabilities. Items, such as walking frames and wheelchairs are considered necessary items and can typically be brought on the bus for no extra charge. While the exact protocol varies from operator to operator, most will accommodate passengers with a range of disabilities
For the best results, we suggest directly contacting the bus provider for any specific boarding instructions in advance of any trips that you book to be sure that you can receive the assistance you need, and so that the bus staff can be best prepared to help. If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch again.

Hi
I am trying to book a bus from Nou Camp stadium in Barcelona to Port Aventura in Salou on Sunday 20th August after the match has finished, which will be after 22:30 pm. I have put all the details onto the site, but it says the bus is coming from T2 at Barcelona airport to Port Aventura, but does not say it stops at the stadium. I cannot find a bus route map of all the stops on route and was worried that it doesn’t stop at the stadium. Please could you help.
Thanks
Lorraine
CheckMyBus-Support
Dear Lorraine,
Unfortunately, the buses from Barcelona to Salou Port Aventura don’t stop at Nou Camp Stadium. The buses start only at Barcelona Airport.

You quoted a price of £53.50 for my trip, i was redirected to the bus company site who quoted me 10 times that amount for a return trip, the initial quote was very misleading.
CheckMyBus-Support
Dear Russell,
we’re sorry to hear that you encountered issues. We’re always doing our best to keep the data on our page up to date. However, in some cases it might happen that the last ticket at the displayed price was only recently sold out, which can lead to inconsistencies. A price ten times the amount of the displayed one is very uncommon though. Which trip in particular are you refering to so that we can take a closer look at the issue?
Best regards,
